The up-and-coming central stars from Ruins have been all over the
forums recently, so we chose to get some answers to the questions that
have really been bugging us at WinOut.

To do that, we've sat down with their ace fragger 'dizzman', who so
far this season has posted the best FPR in all of ESEA-Invite (.919).
I'd like to thank Dustin for taking the time out of his amazingly busy
schedule to share his insights with us.

So much time seems to be spent within sports comparing players with
each other and the legends of old yet we so rarely look to see how
players transcend their individual sports and share qualities and
traits with other competitors.  In this piece I pick a handful of
significant CS players and give my best pick for an equivalent
sportsman.

With the rise of A-gaming and DTS.chatrix to join Virtus.Pro it seems
that Eastern Europe continues to produce top Counter-Strike players.
Much like Sweden there is also always a handful of sub-top tier teams
with players waiting for a shot in one of the bigger sides or an upset
at a notable tournament.  The difference being that the eyes of the CS
fans are always on Sweden so everyone is initmately acquainted with
those players.  Let's take a look at the latest movie of one such
player from Russia, namely xek.

What are team roles and why are they a good idea?  Well in CS as in
every other trade, having each person learn every aspect of the trade,
while possible, is impractical, and people generally do much better
when they can focus on a specific job and get very good at it.  This is
true of other sports – in Football, it would be impractical if every
player had to learn both how to be a safety and a quarterback.

With the first half of the year almost by us it's time to take stock of
what has happened and see how things stack up.  Which teams deserve to
rank where in relation to each other and their individual results?  Is
SK.swe better than WICKED because of their 2nd places or is mTw's win
at EM III's European finals more significant than any 2nd or 3rd?  With
so many factors to consider let's lay the cards out on the table and
see how things fit together.

This is an article about focus.  It so easy to imagine one understands
exactly what it means to focus and how to go about doing it
effectively.  Yet how vital it is for the Counter-Strike player in a
game where rounds can be minute long waits of relative inactivity
interspersed with 5 second spurts of frantic action.  The players who
can focus most effectively in those short periods of time and execute
their game plans are the players who will be most successful in the
long term.  Let's consider this matter further.

With GeT_RiGhT graduating from forum fan favourite to legit CS
superstar it seems the era of the Swedish aim wizards has finally
descended upon the fanboys of the world.  First came Fury's movies and
now FYRR73 is getting in on the action with one of his own.  These guys
have all the aim and sparkle of a f0rest or a GeT_RiGhT but still
have yet to do it on the biggest stages in CS so for now we watch them
manifest their talents in CS movies.  This one being a fine example of
such.
