Fnatic is certainly the strongest team of 2009, and perhaps the strongest team on de_train currently.  This playbook examines their tactics against MYM in the grand finals of the Extreme Masters tournament that took place this year in Dubai.  Tactically, train is a very simple map, with spawns dictating the options for both sides.  The key to winning is knowing how spawns work and then making smart use of them.

T Half

Pistol


Fnatic’s T pistol is to hit inner, but provide enough of a distraction outside so that the inner players can close in with their Glocks.  Dsn makes his presence felt in T middle with his USP while cArn goes ladder and grenades connector. 


The rest of the team hits inner with the bomb.  When the team executes inner, cArn joins them and Dsn tries to keep the outside players from rotating too quickly.

Analysis:  From a very myopic perspective, it looks like dsn isn’t doing much good in T middle while all of his teammates are inside.  But...
