Today marked the second of the semi-finals at the World e-Sports Masters, currently held in Hangzhou, China. The event, which debuted on the 12th and ends on the 19th, featured eight world class teams, four from Asia and four from Europe. They were split into two groups, with the best two in each advancing to the best-of-three, single elimination bracket stage. Each of the semi-finals was played on a separate day, with the second matchup, between TyLoo and Power Gaming, played tonight.

The Dreamhack winners, MYM, who had somewhat disappointed at Arbalet Cup Europe, might have been looking to redeem themselves and surely had a favorite status alongside Polish side AGAiN in Group A, in which they were pitted against TyLoo and TitaNs. If the Poles met the expectations, MYM, some of their members reportedly sick, shocked the fans, losing all three matches and making an early exit. On the other end of the spectrum, AGAiN bulldozed the group, going 3-0, with an impressive +40 rounds differential. TyLoo, playing on their home turf, showed up strong as well and managed to get past a TitaNs and a weak MYM, to move on to a shot at the finals, should they beat the winner of group B.
In the second group, things didn't look as clear cut before the games got underway. Besides fnatic, who was favored to win, any of the three other teams could place second. Instead, it was Power Gaming who surprised, winning a 20-10 game against fnatic on train, putting the pressure on the Swedes, who managed to keep a clean record against both WeMade FOX and wNv.cn to survive group stage and face AGAiN, winner of group A, in a early clash of the top two favorites.
