Not many people would expect a frag movie of Hiko from Texas Area Untouchables who just competed two weekends ago at ESEA LAN 7. Why Hiko out of the handful of other low key and undervalued North American players? For example despite his great #4 .FPR finish at the tournament even his teammate, coolahanx, finished above him to round out the top 3. Who approached who?
Hi, it all started from a thread I made on ESEA.net about making a mini-movie for the whole community. Adding up frags of different low-key players and making something for fun. That's when "fury" who is a good friend of Hiko msged me and asked me if I would do a movie for Hiko. And then me and Hiko talked about it and I started working.
Why Hiko? Because I believe he's been around for a long time but he is not appreciated. Everyone knows about his old team SLP (stacked like Pancakes) being screwed and nobody really followed him after untill he joined backfire in ESEA main season 6. I like to make movies for people who don't have sponsors or movie makers like n0thing for example, so I can help them out a bit.
What are your other previous productions and will we be seeing more of them in the future?
My previous productions are nothing but plenty of ESEA COTW clips and a little compilation that I made for myself just for fun about 1 week I learned how to make clips. I am working on new projects pretty soon. I am making that little ESEA movie I mentioned before and couple movies for some other unknown players hopefully. it'll be fun.
There's been some music issues with YouTube. Is this something you might consider in the future and how would that hamper your editing?
Yes, there is something wrong with Youtube, because my songs were chosen from WMG , and youtube mutes or blocks people with those songs. So in the future I either don't use songs from WMG or I will make sure to figure it out somehow. right now the sound keeps going and coming back. hopefully it will be fixed soon because I disputed to youtube.
Thanks very much for your time illmatic!
Thanks a lot for the interview and I hope everyone enjoy my work no matter how simple/nonprofessional it is.
