They should have kept it under lockdown UNTIL they got most if not all the bugs kinked out. They still have some problems with the models / animations.
i agree..now it's going to be harder for them to get people to try new updates to see if its worth playing..would've definitely been better off just waiting and releasing a sick game.
well thats what happens when your demographic is 13-21 yr old males....they are going to need to hype up another big release if they want to get it popular, when it's good enough..
The only other option would be to get a league like CEVO to switch their 1.6 & source into Pro Mod...that would guarantee it to get big...but CEVO wouldn't risk it unless it's a really sick game :P
i think if they had a solid development team it could get done right and fast, and people would be happy.
It would be even better if they somehow got it on Steam to stream the updates.
Personally i still think its way better than css, we will see how it emerges as time goes on, the next update sounds like its getting even closer to the 1.6 feel
I been hearing alot of rumors that it's complete shit because the developer is a queak 3 player and hes trying to build a counter-strike mod. (just rumor)
Also I read somthing i don't remember how long ago but CEVO or CAL had it just for fun that the top team of css and the top team of 1.6 would join in CSPROMOD and duke it out to see who was better and it wouldn't be for money or anything just for fun. I thought that was a great way to promote cspromod and get out there.
Doesn't look to good atm, even if it does become good, I am not confident that any leagues will pick it up over 1.6.
only reason y people wouldnt is cuz of bad comps but i tend to see people that play cs1.6 have better comps than css players so....merp
